IQS Software

Overview

The IQS (Internal Quality Sorting) software controls all features and functions of the Taste Tech NIR system. The software uses the light absorption measurements to calculate grade values that can determine the internal properties of the fruit.  The values from the IQS software are used to generate a grade for the fruit, which is then sorted accordingly.

IQS Main Screen

The main screen of the IQS software has a task pane on the left hand side where functions and screens are accessed.  The right side displays the activated screen.

ACQ Procedure

An ACQ procedure is done to collect data about fruit varieties.  Once the data has been collected it is sent to the Taste Tech team, who will use it to create models which are used with the IQS software.

During the ACQ procedure, the software collects spectral information from the fruit.
